Cafe 68 is located in Prospect, CT at 22 Union City Road. The location is on busy Route 68 between Chesire and Naugatuck. In the future an elementary school may be built within a few miles. The building is a large business space which also includes 2 future spaces for expansion which may become a lounge for the cafe. Solution

Northern Technologies provided a wireless Hotspot that enables up to 75 users on their standard DSL internet access. The service enables Cafe 68 to provide a service or a fee in various rates. As there are many business plans for Hotspots, we decided on a plan that enables the cafe owner to own the equipment with a maintenance agreement. Any profits from the operation of the Hotspot are kept by the owner. The Hotspot includes the main cafe including the 2 adjacent business spaces and the outside area for future outside seating. As the service is free to users, they only need to provide a wireless device to connect and enjoy the internet enabling email and VPN usage also.
